My Helper

Before I tell you about my helper, I thought that this was pretty cute. Josiah sees his daddy sing like this every Sunday and found a creative way to prop up his microphone. He had a very serious song going on.

I'm usually not very good about letting the kids help out in the kitchen because I always seem to be in a hurry. But I had time today, and it worked out because it was pizza night! I told Jay that I should let Josiah help me out more often because he is such a picky eater and might actually eat whatever he makes. He was so proud of his pizzas!
Here he is helping me sprinkle cheese on top. I wish you cold have seen him tossing the mozzarella slices and tomatoes on. He looked like a pro.

We had so much fun.

One of our finished pizzas. It was very good. Way to go, Josiah!

FYI: I got this recipe from The Pioneer Woman cookbook. The pizza dough that I usually make is a lot more involved. This was simple and good...not as good, but good enough that I'll use it again because it took less time.

How fun! I'm the same way - I need to find more ways to get Ryan to help - I let him cut up apple with a very dull knife the other day and you would have thought he was making a 5 course meal with me. It's the little things! You are such a good momma! (Guess the boys need aprons too!) :)

That pizza looks so good! I might have to try it. Except I'll have to have one side w/out tomatos for weird Kyle and Kailee :) By the way, I LOVE your new aprons!!

Tammy and Emily-
Yes, I love that cookbook. I've already made several things out of it and have liked the majority of those things.
I need to get better about responding to my blog again!
