Driveway Fun

What fun is sidewalk chalk without chalking all the way into the street?

I wonder what our kind of sort of grumpy neighbors thought of us chalking the shared driveway. Maybe we brightened their day. ha! But, honestly, I really did expect rain.
Sweet Olivia had her 18 month check-up today. She had 2 shots, but it hasn't seemed to phase her--usually her legs are so sore that we can't even touch them without her crying. :(
We tried out a new pediatrician and I really liked her!! She gave us a nose spray to try out for Liv and see if it will help clear out the fluid in her ears. We have another surgery date scheduled for her with her ENT (we ended up canceling last time because she started improving), but maybe we can even cancel again! The pediatrician seemed very positive about her ears clearing up. She also set us up with a speech therapist to help Livie start forming words. She has been hearing as if under water these last few months, so her speech is a little behind. But our pediatrician was also very positive about it all and says she should be talking like a champ by 2 years of age. The pediatrician also pointed out that Liv's right eye is a little bit lazy...not bad, but a little. Hmmm...I haven't noticed it, but we might have a little pink pirate in our house for a few weeks. Gosh, what an information filled office visit!!

Sidewalk chalk brings out other kids. Usually our kids play outside by themselves. We have a sweet little neighbor that is very shy, but loves to come out and play with Olivia. The boys can be too overwhelming for her :) Well, tonight she had a friend visiting her from down the street. Her friend was NOT shy. Wow! Jay and I were completely entertained. And our boys loved every minute of being told what to do--it doesn't matter, as long as they have someone to play with.

Hey! There's me! And my favorite gal in the whole wide world!
What fun. If you don't have a daughter, come and play with mine. :)

I love my family.

Did the boys look both ways before they chalked the street - that's so funny.

I'm so glad you had a good pediatrician appt! I sure hope the sprays help, I just started on some sprays for allergies and had some fluid problems in one of my ears (among other things) and that has cleared up, so I hope the same is true for Olivia! Also, William didn't start talking till 2 yrs either...no worries... Looks like you guys had a fun day with the chalk and neighbors!

What fun! When we lived in the apartment the kids chalked all over the rails and stairs. It was still there when we moved. I'm not sure how they will get that off :)
I'm glad you found a dr you like! That makes a huge difference! Now we pray for healthy ears!

It's so awesome that your street is quiet enough for them to chalk on it! I don't think Livie's eye is lazy! She's beautiful. Perfect. Pleasingly plump and adorable in every way. The boys are pretty cute too! And you are gorgeous.

I love the pic of you and Olivia. She has lots of pearly whites:)
Miss O looks like she is walking everywhere. Amy, what great motion shots of the boys running.
I hope Liv doesn't need the surgery.

Mom- Yay! You get to come and play with my daughter!!!

Mindy- Ha! I bet that 30 cars drive down our street in a day. And those 30 cars are all the people in our driveway, driving back and forth. We live on a cul-de-sac. :)

Dawn- Me, too! I had such a rough time with having to give up Dr. Walsh in Amarillo. :(

Tammy- I squeeze her legs all day long.

Sarah- I hope that it works for Olivia as it has worked for you. I'll let you know.

Tamra- I almost got out the water hose today and washed off the driveway. But then I decided that we can all just live with it. It will rain one of these days.

Kara- Thank you! Jay took the picture and did a great job. And thanks for praying for her.

Lindsey- I think she's pretty perfect, too. Well, except that she's starting to show that she's in charge. Oops! I think we fed her that lie for 18 months. She's about to give up control. haha

Jean- She's getting fast!!!!!
