Confession

I already confessed to my friend, Leslie, so why not tell everyone??
I am addicted to sweets...especially chocolate. Just yesterday, I had Isaac with me at Wal Mart. We walked right past the donuts and Isaac begged for some. I said, "No.", but really, really wanted some myself. As we walked up and down the aisles, all I could think about were those chocolate donuts. I started breaking out in a sweat (!!!) because I wanted them so badly. On the way out of the store, I made my way back past the donuts. I stood there and just stared at them and finally gave in and put them in my basket. As I loaded the car with the groceries, I made sure to put the donuts in the front seat. I got one out while Isaac wasn't looking and chowed down on it on the way home. I felt no guilt or regret. That's when it is bad!! :)

Hi, I'm Mindy and I'm addicted to sweets as well. Yesterday I hid behind the pantry door and crammed a powdered sugar donut into my mouth while no one was looking, including my husband. I say I bought them for Ryan but he doesn't like them all that well....hmmmm, I forgot about that part! [not]

Oh Amy, I am addicted to sweets as well. Especially when it comes to Miss Piggy's cookies. My parents have some at their house and I have been making all sorts of reasons to go over there. I know, I'm bad!! I think they have figured me out, but aren't saying anything.

Hi. My name is Becky. I am a sweet addict. I know I'm still in the justification stage of recovery. I don't think it's so bad if you just have one donut. It's a problem if you hide the donuts or eat the whole box of donuts.
Did you ever share with Isaac? (You may need to break that curse of being "Mama's little chocolate girl!" And there's the whole generational addiction problem going on here, I think.)

Oh, I am addicted to chocolate too! Food in general in fact...I am trying to watch what I eat and exercise. But...sometimes you just HAVE to give in! I am a recovering addict of other things and trust me...chocolate is NOT a bad thing to be addicted to!!

This is so funny! I love all of the confessions. Maybe you should post another one and see what every one else says. :)
I have already confessed this one to the blog world. I feel free and clear. Actually as I type I am sitting here with the girls Halloween candy in front of me!

the best part about this whole story is the fact that you hid the donuts from your child. i laughed.

this reminds me of the time i bought an entire box of chocolate eclairs and ate them in the middle of the park. by myself. while i cried over a boy...

not as funny as you hiding the donuts and breaking out into a sweat. hahaahahahahaha!

LOL you crack me up. Hi my name is Kara and I'm totally addicted to chocolate donuts with coconut. However Daylight Donut only seems to make like ONE coconut chocolate donut and I very rarely get one, but it doesn't keep me from checking every Monday and Wednesday HA!!!

I don't really consider it an addiction...I look at it as one of the pleasures of being an adult; unfortunately we just have to be good influences for our kids! And right now I am using the pregnancy as a scapegoat, but really this is me ALL THE TIME! Isn't admitting and confessing the first step? I guess I failed that one. (:

I've been told that there are a few natural things that literally increase endorphins (feel good chemicals) in the brain: 1.exercise 2.laughter 3. sex and 4.chocolate

So....you pick your "high" :0)

Too funny! I do the same thing! I tell my kids no and then when they are not looking I shove it in my mouth! Glad I am not alone! Julie

Glad to see so many parents sneak things behind their kids backs... (I'm still trying to explain to Bill that he can't just eat a cookie RIGHT IN FRONT of the kids and then tell them they can't have one---you HAVE TO HIDE IT!)
