I Followed Your Advice

We decided to make fun out of a dreary day. We did actually get out for awhile and joined the library, YMCA, and we ate lunch at Moe's Southwest Grill. Oh man, Moe's was very good! It tasted like home. :) Jay and I also start with a personal trainer at the YMCA on Monday. Pray for us, ha!
Anyway, back to the real story. The boys went with Jay to Target to buy some rain boots. Of course, they came home with Cars boots and they were SO excited about them. We went to play in the rain but it stopped raining. Josiah was having fun until a fire truck drove past and he thought that it was a tiger in the woods. He is hilarious. So he ran back to the porch for cover. The rain boot thing lasted for about 10 minutes and we came inside to build that good ol' fort. They thought that the fort was the best thing they had ever experienced. We played in it all afternoon. Olivia even made her way inside and stared, wide-eyed, at the boys' "room". By the way, some of the pictures seem fuzzy because the humidity fogs up my new lens!!! UGH!! Oh well, I still like it. :)
Thanks for the fun ideas. If tomorrow is just as wet, we'll do the shaving cream thing. Or maybe we should save that for another rainy day!

Hello!?

Olivia has started doing the cutest thing. Without us even showing her, she put a phone up to her ear and said, "ahwah". Do you think that we are on the phone too much? I'm actually rarely on the phone. Maybe she watches Jay more than we think, ha! Just kidding, Jay.
Also, thanks for all of the great advice yesterday. So far, this is what the boys have done today. We'll work on the fort later. :)

Rainy Days

We are new to this "save your money for a rainy day" experience. They really mean it when they say that. We have been kinda cooped up in our house for the past couple of days and have had to come up with new things for entertainment. We are used to spending the morning outside riding bikes or playing in the backyard. We don't really have a backyard here (and the grass is prickly) and the driveway is shared with about 3 other townhomes, plus their teenage kids!! I'm big on not letting my kids watch tv (they probably watch about 30-45 minutes a day) so I sometimes have to be the entertainment. It is hard...maybe I should just turn on the tv, ha!
Here was the list of events for the first 1 1/2 hours today (not long enough!!!).
Painting on the back porch, drumstick baseball, drumstick pool, and slap jack. Someone help me with some better ideas!!! My creativity left with the moving truck!
