Olivia didn't mind going to her Mumzie at all.

Guess where we went to eat?? Chick-Fil-A!! Ha! Zach encouraged us to get a chicken biscuit and put strawberry jelly on it. Hmmm...we'll have to try that out.

Olivia thought that all of the lights, music, clapping, and people were a blast. She didn't even mind having ear plugs in.

Mumzie was sweet and hung out with us until the concert started. Isaac enjoyed every minute of it.

Family Reunion

We've been looking forward to today ever since my brother, Zach, called me a couple of weeks ago. His band, A Road Less Traveled, was on tour with Superchick and Stellar Kart and they just happened to be playing in a concert about 1 1/2 hours away from our front door. We didn't tell the boys because we wanted them to be surprised. When they saw Zach (aka: Mumzie...what our kids call him), they just stared at him. I think that they were a bit shocked. It didn't take them too long to warm up to him. Both of our boys know every word to every song on their latest album. They really are their greatest fans and had such a blast at the concert.
I will have to post a few blogs to get in all of the pictures. For some reason, blogger is not working for me.

You Are Invited...

Sometimes, during school, Josiah disappears and either a.) finds trouble or b.) finds trouble. Today he found a Christmas box sent by Gee (my mom's grandma name). There are lots of wrapped gifts in the box but a few things that Gee left unwrapped so that they could have something when the box arrived at the house. Of course, they didn't see the box arrive, so I had it "hidden" in my closet. Josiah had been missing for awhile today and when he came back into the kitchen, he had an ornery grin on his face. I asked him what he had been doing and he told me that he found some antlers in my closet, tried them on, and stared at himself in the "nearer" (mirror). When he saw that I was okay with what he had done, he quickly ran back to the closet and brought back a pair of antlers for Isaac and himself.

Our cute little rascally reindeer

Did you know that reindeer can read??

Part of Isaac's lesson today was to write an invitation to someone. He chose Josiah.

Before you think that we had the world's best reindeer party in our kitchen, let me tell you what the party consisted of. We sang Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer. The End. :)

Just Josiah

I love it when I find Josiah playing by himself.

Sweet Siah
(And yes, their bedroom walls really are green and blue stripes. We are renting and I didn't want to paint!)

Confession

I already confessed to my friend, Leslie, so why not tell everyone??
I am addicted to sweets...especially chocolate. Just yesterday, I had Isaac with me at Wal Mart. We walked right past the donuts and Isaac begged for some. I said, "No.", but really, really wanted some myself. As we walked up and down the aisles, all I could think about were those chocolate donuts. I started breaking out in a sweat (!!!) because I wanted them so badly. On the way out of the store, I made my way back past the donuts. I stood there and just stared at them and finally gave in and put them in my basket. As I loaded the car with the groceries, I made sure to put the donuts in the front seat. I got one out while Isaac wasn't looking and chowed down on it on the way home. I felt no guilt or regret. That's when it is bad!! :)

Our House

Will you all pray with us that our house in Dalhart will sell soon? Mindy just posted a blog saying that their house is under contract (ANSWERED PRAYER!!!!) and it prompted me to go and look at our realtor's web page. A house was just listed on our street for $900 less than ours. I never realized what a game this is and it is starting to get a bit frustrating!! In order to buy a house here, we are going to need to make quite a bit off of our house there. So every time we have to come down on the price...well, you know. Click HERE to see our house in Dalhart. Thanks for praying!!

Sidenotes

I already blogged tonight but had to add some more pictures and thoughts. :)

Isaac wanted his training wheels back on. He is happier and so are we. He's so proud of all the tricks he can do on his bike.
Sidenote: I love Isaac. He is such a sweet boy. He always wants to cuddle with me and just hold my hand. He takes care of his brother and sister (sometimes more than they care for). He enjoys simple things.

I am trying to get Olivia interested in walking. She thinks that it's pretty funny.
Sidenote: I am starting to like the color pink. I have almost always hated pink and purple. When I was a little girl, I thought that every girl HAD to like those two colors...they were "girl" colors. Secretly, I loved brown and green. Of course, I never told anyone that. I would have been weird. But pink is growing on me. Olivia is pink. :) In this picture, Olivia has on a purple hair bow. (Thanks Kara.) Purple may take awhile longer to grow on me but it is working it's way in.

The boys love to take pictures with my camera. I fix all of the settings for them and let them have at it!
Sidenote: They are getting a camera for Christmas.

Josiah has the cutest smile.
Sidenote: Today, Josiah got in trouble for throwing something in the house. Jay asked him what he thought his punishment should be. Josiah said, "Not to do that again." I don't think he knows what "punishment" means.
Another sidenote: When we open our garage, we see lots of red, blue, and yellow! We also see lots of boxes and junk.
