Archery Day

We are very blessed to have this home school group for P.E. at our YMCA. All 3 of our kids love to go, and the teachers really do a great job of encouraging the boys.

Josiah is such a sweet big brother. He's holding her on the bench, making sure she doesn't fall off.

Josiah and Mr. C. just discovered each other last week. They are pretty cute to watch play together.

New Grace Family Weekend

We spent today with our church family at a camp ground. We had lots of fun and put our kids to bed completely exhausted. What could be better than that?
The pictures are out of order and kind of blurry. My camera was on the wrong setting...if anyone knows what is wrong with it, I'll take the advice!

Olivia didn't want to be put down today.

Look at those fast, white legs! :)

Go Josiah!!

Home run, Ike!

Jay and Isaac out on the kayak. I hate that I missed getting a picture of Josiah out there!!

All of these kids were "helping", and the adults were very patient with them.

Isaac in Black Creek

This is so much fun, Mom!

They took turns giving kisses.

I didn't even realize I took this picture, ha!

Some of our fun group...the kids were watching a puppet show.

Olivia liked all of Mrs. Davis' bling. :)

Jay and Sam in deep conversation.

Having fun with buddies

You can see why they went to bed at 7:30 and fell right to sleep.
We had a great day!!

Nada Mucha

I love the stage my middle man is in.  He still has a baby look, but he is growing into a big boy.  Today he was mad at me because I wouldn't let him change his snack choice.  He changes his mind on which snack he wants every single day.  In fact, he changes it about 7 times in 7 seconds.  I love it.
What I don't love is this.  I hope that Big Guy will grow out of it!  But let me tell you, he doesn't let it phase him in the least.  In fact, today, in PE, he ran his laps and finished first.  His teacher told me that he is definitely a cross country runner.  It made his former cross country running mama proud.  She also told me that he should take part in the kids' mile run that will be taking place here shortly.  I'm worried he will make me look bad when I run it with him!!  This proud mama had better get in shape.
Hmmm...he's still mad about the snack thing.  The boys have the job of bringing in the recycle bins.  He didn't want his brother to take his scooter, so he did a 2-in-1 job.  It was too heavy for him, I made him eat pretzels, and his shoes were on the wrong feet (normal).  Nothing is working out for Middle Man today.  I love him.
She walks more than she crawls now.  It makes life much, much easier!!  We can go outside and I don't have to hold all of her 23 pounds the whole time.
Did you tell them my weight??
This stage is so much fun!  I told Jay that if Little Miss had been a twin, I would have loved it!  Well, now I would love it, but having newborn twins would have sent me up a crap creek without a paddle!  (Can I say that?)
A normal afternoon for us.
It was somewhere around 70 degrees today.  He really likes this jacket. :)
He's just about the sweetest kid in the world.

She found a sit and spin and couldn't get enough of it.  She also saw our neighbor coming home.  She's very social.  Hmmm...wonder where she gets it. :)
This chica loves shoes!
I hope they always love each other like this.  It's so funny, because both boys are very opposite.  Big Guy likes to give out hugs.  Middle Man would rather shake your hand.  It's very entertaining to watch them in action.

A Good Laugh

One Boy at a Time

Jay took the boys individually for piano lessons today.  So that meant that I had one less child all morning. :)  It's so funny to watch how the boys act when the other one is not around.

Nana came through for Olivia and sent a new stroller.  The boys love having girl stuff in the house and made sure to try out this stylin' pram!!  Don't worry ladies, I didn't let Josiah sit in it.  But he did tell me that he wants a "clothes hanging" thing for his birthday.  I couldn't figure out what he was talking about, so he took me to the laundry room and showed me the ironing board and iron.  He says that he wants one his size so that he can iron with me on Sunday morning.  Haha!  Now you know that I only iron once a week, and on the most rushed morning of our week.

And in case you are beginning to worry about Josiah, don't.  His baby carried a gun and light saber all day long. :)
So, Josiah time was very busy.  We played cowboys, flew in a rocket ship (aka Buzz tent), cut paper (aka craft), and played with the stroller.  Josiah doesn't really care if you play WITH him, he just wants you to be there as company.  He completely entertains himself (which is great most of the time...unless he wanders off and you forget about him...sometimes he's just a cute mess)

Then there is Isaac.  He really likes to play with his sister.  So we played with her until she needed a nap.  Isaac does not entertain himself.  In fact, he asks me ALL DAY LONG what we are going to do next.  He thinks that t.v., computer, video games, and loud music are the best sources of entertainment.  I usually fight and fight with him over it.  Today I gave in and took a picture of him looking pretty exhausted.
On another note, Jay said that Isaac is ready for his first piano book!!  Isaac's catching on so quickly and it looks like we'll have some more pianists in the house.  Yay!

Little Whispers

I wish that I had it on video!  It was so cute!!!
This evening, as we were eating dinner together, our family was just having some random conversation.  Jay asked Josiah a question, and Josiah whispered his answer to Isaac.  Little did we know, Olivia was taking it all in.  All of a sudden, she put her hands up to her mouth and started to whisper to Josiah.  It was the cutest thing I have ever seen.  Seriously...it was C.U.T.E.  We all took turns whispering to her, and she'd whisper right back to us.  She hasn't started talking yet (she's almost 18 months) and we've been a little worried about her hearing (we meet with an ENT on a pretty regular basis), so to see her do something like this was so much fun!  Words just don't do it justice.  My heart is melting as I type.
