Disney

Magic Kingdom

We learned the art of waiting while at Disney World.

This is the boat ride from our hotel to the park.

Both days were beautiful!

We're here!
Yes, Olivia had her shoes off. She was all about being comfortable.

We arrived right in the beginning of a show at the castle. The boys liked it until the witch from Sleeping Beauty appeared.

To infinity and beyond!!
This is the first thing we did. I can't believe we saw him as soon as we came around the corner.

Dumbo ride

We rode Dumbo, too.

The boys LOVED the tea cups. We had to ride those twice.

Olivia and I waited and waited to catch a snapshot of the guys in the race car. I looked down for a second and here they came! And look who's driving. :)

This was my absolute favorite part of Disney. The parade was a blast and Olivia really got into the dancing.

I love that they are still young enough to really get into the waving at the characters.

He was shooting at Olivia.

Peter Pan ride.
We rode this at about 9:00 that night. We were exhausted, but it was one of the boys' favorites.

It's A Small World is how we finished the night.

Animal Kingdom
Here we are...
Ready for another day!

Posing at the Tree of Life

Drummer Boy

It takes full concentration.

Flick!!

Is this the character from Tarzan?

Olivia wasn't too sure.

Is it safe yet?

Can I come out now??

Baloo gives the best hugs.
Josiah said, "He hugged me and it was dark in there."

I wanna walk like you, talk like you, doobdeedoo.

What a beautiful vine.

Oh, wait. That vine has a face.

We were all mesmerized and a bit weirded out at the same time.

Safari time!

We weren't too sure about this rhino. The tour guide said that it wouldn't hurt us, but there are a few banged up buses because of the rhinos. ha

Poachers? Gun shots? Lost baby elephant?

Whew! We helped save the elephant.
Isaac was ready to get off of the ride by this point. It was all a bit too real for him.

Rainforest Cafe

We were sitting by the loud gorillas.

Happy Birthday, Josiah!!!

5 years!

This is after we ate. How can you tell? Check out Josiah's left leg, shorts, t-shirt, and face. All covered in ketchup. :)

We had fun.

Where's Waldo??
Actually, where are Isaac and Josiah?

Gee and Another Year Older x2

My mom (Gee) came to visit for the boys' birthdays. We had lots of fun!

For Isaac's birthday, he got a new bike. He is so proud of it and always wants to be outside riding it.

Isaac turned 7 on April 9th, and Josiah turned 5 on April 13th.
They are growing up so fast!

Candy!

Even Olivia got in on the fun.
Gee gave her a pink gun so that she could play with her brothers.

We had fun, Gee! Thanks for coming.

Just a little zonked from all of that outside play.

Splashing and Shooting

Spring Break is here and we are taking full advantage. The pools are open and the Florida sun is shining.

Swimming Buddies

This was something new for him at the end of last summer. He's getting braver and braver.

It was cold, but they promised me that it was worth it.

How 'bout them cowboys?
Man, they look tough.

I'd watch out for this guy.

He's quick with that left finger.

Easter Weekend

Our Easter weekend was busy and sweet. A family from our church invited us over to take part in their Easter egg hunt. Their family tradition is to use scriptures as clues to find the eggs. All of their kids are grown, but all were home for Easter. Unfortunately, I had strep, so I was not able to attend. But the kids came home so excited over all the fun that they had and all of the great gifts they were given.

Isaac trying to figure out the clue with his buddy, James.

Olivia with the women folk. haha

Josiah has learned how to read, so I'm sure he was really trying to decipher some of those words.

Olivia kept everyone entertained by blowing her bubbles and letting Hunter chase them.

Decorating Easter eggs at our house.

Guess who did this one?

After lunch on Sunday, I had all the kids go outside for some Easter pictures. I expected to have nice, sweet photos of the kids. They hammed it up a bit.
This is how it all began. The kids were all so happy right before we walked out the door. WHY does this always happen??? Even Josiah couldn't quit crying.

Then peace came.

And sweet dancing.

Josiah learned the art of posing.

Look at this move.

How about a few push-ups?

There's our Josiah.

Oh wait! There he is, too.
(I promise he had clean feet for church.)

Isaac did a little posing of his own.
(Notice the bubbles dripped down his shirt. He was being a super big brother and entertaining his sister.)

He told me that this would be my favorite. :)

He'll be 7 on Friday.

Bubbles are a hit with Olivia.

I wonder where they got their great poses from?

An encore.

Happy Easter!

A Great Visit

I can't believe that I never even thought to pull out my camera during Lindsey's visit. But we were plenty busy and PLENTY exhausted at the end of each day.
Lindsey came down to force me to go to a home school conference. Okay, she didn't force me, but I wouldn't have gone by myself. (I'm kinda-sorta a huge introvert.)
We had a great time shopping, eating, talking, laughing and learning together. Thanks, Linds, for helping me leap into a whole new way of homeschooling. I can't wait to get started -- after this summer!

Oncul MATT

Uncle Matt (Jay's brother, not mine.) came to visit us for a few days. The kids, of course, were super excited and wanted to be with him every second of the day. We hope he rested with all of the questions he was asked by the boys, and with all of the times Olivia said, "Oncul MATT, Oncul MATT, Oncul MATT!"

Thanks for spending your Spring Break with us, Matt. And thanks for allowing me to kick some Wright Bros. derriere in The Settlers of Catan.
