AAAHHHH!!

I had to run an errand this evening (it was dark outside) after the kids were in bed. I went out to my van, through the garage. As I was waiting for the garage door to go up, I stuck my purse on the passengers side of the van and started heading around and out the garage. I wasn't really looking and all of a sudden, I heard a male voice say, "Hellooo?!" I was so scared that I jumped and ran back into the house and locked the door. A second later, the doorbell rang. I called for Jay to answer the door. It was a young guy selling magazines...you know, the teenagers that always scare you whether they jump out at you through the garage or not?? Here's the question...WHO ARE THEY? WHO DO THEY WORK FOR? WHY ARE THEY ALWAYS SO SCARY?? Does anyone have the answers? They always came by in Dalhart and I guess that I just thought they were all in the Texas panhandle. But they are in Florida, too!!!!! I'm just curious and wondering if anyone has ever thought to ask them a little about who they work for.

Beautiful Rainy Day

I am going to try out something. I think that I can now load pictures straight from my blogging page and not have to go through Picasa. Let's see...if not, oh well!
Okay, it didn't work. I hate doing it this way because it takes longer, but I can fit more pictures onto one post.

Here are some pictures of Olivia wearing one of her hair bows. I love the first one...who knows what she was doing.

I love how Josiah sticks his tongue out when he is concentrating. But he doesn't just stick it out...he really gets after it!

A Josiah Story
We were sitting at the dinner table the other night and Isaac asked if Jay played football and if I was a cheerleader in high school. We both laughed our heads off and then I said, "No, Daddy played golf and Mommy ran cross country." The boys asked what cross country is and I told them that it is running. Josiah said, "Oh, I fink (think) you did it so you could run away from Daddy!"

Today we watched the little girl that lives next door to us. She is 8 years old and I thought we needed something entertaining to do besides dress up as superheroes and play drums. So, we did a craft. It was so much fun!! We went outside and found some tree branches and then made these little birds and hung them from the branches. The only drawback...I had to use my hot glue gun again and now have one more blister. :)
This is one of Isaac's birds. Notice the glue dripping down. I'm glad that it stopped at the end of the bird and didn't end up on the carpet below. How did I not see that when I was taking the picture??

Isaac's mobile...it even has leaves on it.

Josiah's bird...LOTS of feathers!!

Watch out for this guy!

Oh Me Oh My Oh...Did I Just Make A Hair Bow?

Since Olivia's hair has been in her face, I decided that she needed some itsy-bitsy hair bows for her itsy-bitsy self. While I was at the Fall Festival the other day, I bought a bow like these and thought, "Hey, I can make those!!!" They look so simple and easy to make. Tonight I decided to take on the project. Let's just say that I'm typing with two fingers up in the air (because of blisters from the glue gun) and a cramp in my right hand. All this to say, "THANK YOU" to all of those who have every made or bought hair bows for Olivia!! I will probably never make these again and really appreciate all of the work that you all have put into making my daughter stylish. :)

Back to Spring Park Continued

Josiah follows Isaac everywhere and does whatever Isaac does. It's so cute to watch. At the park, Isaac would try to get Josiah to run the other way to make their game more fun, but Josiah would rather just be right at Isaac's heels! Here they are sliding like penguins.

I worked really hard to get a picture of the 3 of them...this is the best I could get. I can't believe that I'm a mother to all 3 of those kiddos!! When did that happen???

This lady was fishing off of the pier and let the boys look into her bucket of fish that she had caught and let them watch her while she fished. Her fishing pole was a bamboo rod with a fishing line attached.

She was getting a kick out of all the questions that the boys were firing at her. I think that they could have stayed there all night watching on. Isaac was so sad that he didn't bring his Nemo fishing pole with him, ha!

I'm Finished

It's so funny to think that he was scared of slides just about 2 years ago.

Josiah even finds fun in time-out...checking out his shadow.

Okay, maybe Olivia and I need to go together for a haircut!!!

Thanks for a fun time, Daddy Jay!!
