Attempt # 1

Attempt # 2

Third time's a charm.

Zach, I was nice and put the best picture of you up...I sacrificed.
I am so proud of you, Zach, and all of the band. Not because your band sounds great (which you do!!!), but because you all have great hearts and really love God and people. I admire you and am so thankful that I have you as a brother...and that you weren't a girl. :)

AND....on a side note!!! WE SOLD OUR HOUSE!!!! I AM SO THANKFUL!!!

This is my attempt of taking a picture of the band while holding a 14 month old and standing on a chair. :)

Josiah was mesmerized.

Isaac sang every word to the songs. He's wearing an ARLT shirt...he and Josiah are both sleeping in their shirts tonight.

Jay is also a big fan. :)

Olivia didn't mind going to her Mumzie at all.

Guess where we went to eat?? Chick-Fil-A!! Ha! Zach encouraged us to get a chicken biscuit and put strawberry jelly on it. Hmmm...we'll have to try that out.

Olivia thought that all of the lights, music, clapping, and people were a blast. She didn't even mind having ear plugs in.

Mumzie was sweet and hung out with us until the concert started. Isaac enjoyed every minute of it.

Family Reunion

We've been looking forward to today ever since my brother, Zach, called me a couple of weeks ago. His band, A Road Less Traveled, was on tour with Superchick and Stellar Kart and they just happened to be playing in a concert about 1 1/2 hours away from our front door. We didn't tell the boys because we wanted them to be surprised. When they saw Zach (aka: Mumzie...what our kids call him), they just stared at him. I think that they were a bit shocked. It didn't take them too long to warm up to him. Both of our boys know every word to every song on their latest album. They really are their greatest fans and had such a blast at the concert.
I will have to post a few blogs to get in all of the pictures. For some reason, blogger is not working for me.

Isaac calling "Gee" (my mom) to tell her that he is in GEORGIA (!!!) with MUMZIE (!!!)

You Are Invited...

Sometimes, during school, Josiah disappears and either a.) finds trouble or b.) finds trouble. Today he found a Christmas box sent by Gee (my mom's grandma name). There are lots of wrapped gifts in the box but a few things that Gee left unwrapped so that they could have something when the box arrived at the house. Of course, they didn't see the box arrive, so I had it "hidden" in my closet. Josiah had been missing for awhile today and when he came back into the kitchen, he had an ornery grin on his face. I asked him what he had been doing and he told me that he found some antlers in my closet, tried them on, and stared at himself in the "nearer" (mirror). When he saw that I was okay with what he had done, he quickly ran back to the closet and brought back a pair of antlers for Isaac and himself.

Our cute little rascally reindeer

Did you know that reindeer can read??

Part of Isaac's lesson today was to write an invitation to someone. He chose Josiah.

Before you think that we had the world's best reindeer party in our kitchen, let me tell you what the party consisted of. We sang Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer. The End. :)

Just Josiah

I love it when I find Josiah playing by himself.

Sweet Siah
(And yes, their bedroom walls really are green and blue stripes. We are renting and I didn't want to paint!)

Confession

I already confessed to my friend, Leslie, so why not tell everyone??
I am addicted to sweets...especially chocolate. Just yesterday, I had Isaac with me at Wal Mart. We walked right past the donuts and Isaac begged for some. I said, "No.", but really, really wanted some myself. As we walked up and down the aisles, all I could think about were those chocolate donuts. I started breaking out in a sweat (!!!) because I wanted them so badly. On the way out of the store, I made my way back past the donuts. I stood there and just stared at them and finally gave in and put them in my basket. As I loaded the car with the groceries, I made sure to put the donuts in the front seat. I got one out while Isaac wasn't looking and chowed down on it on the way home. I felt no guilt or regret. That's when it is bad!! :)
