Welcome To The Club

Welcome to our new secret club. That's what it kind of feels like. :) It was fun to see how many responses I received to be added to the blog as a reader. Now we'll see how many stick around. **Wink Wink**
I made the blog private because of the little people in the photo. I'd rather keep them safe than worry about who could be reading this without me knowing. So thanks for following!
Just so you know, I couldn't get onto my own blog this morning. I forgot to add myself. The blog originally started under Jay's name, so everything is still under his email. I guess I need to fix that.

I'll leave you with a thought from Josiah: "Mommy, did God make my hair lellow (yellow) because I like the color lellow so much?" "I bet he did, Baby. Let's just hope that green doesn't become your favorite color."

Sigh Of Relief

Olivia is doing great. She had a good ole time playing with all of the doctor stuff and meeting another little girl who was also having tubes put in her ears. All was well until the scary looking anesthesiologist picked her up to take her to the back. :( But the good thing is that not one tear left Mommy's eyes. hahaha
Olivia's doctor did end up having to remove her adenoids because they were so big that they were blocking her passageway and not allowing her to breathe properly. And he said that the fluid in her ears was more like jello than liquid. Poor baby.
When she woke up (and that happened immediately), she was not a happy camper. She was in a lot of pain, but Jay and I also think that she was just really hungry. The nurse went to get her a popsicle, but she didn't come back with enough. (If you know our kids, then you know that food is very, very important!!) So, she got a refill and that seemed to calm her down.
When we got home, she scarfed down a banana and went right to sleep. Sweet girl. I hope this makes things so much better for her.
Thank you all for your prayers. You just don't know how much your encouragement meant/means to us.

She loves to say "cheese!" You can see her bandage still on her left ankle, and some other thingamajigs stuck to her chest. The nurses didn't take them off at the surgery center. They left that for me to do. Now I know why! It hurt!

Please Pray

Olivia goes in for surgery tomorrow morning at 7:30. I'd appreciate it if you would pray for her...and for her nervous mommy!

Oh yeah! And we tried out the potty today. She thought it was just a fun chair.

Quote of the Day (Post 2)

Isaac: "Hey, Mom...your hair looks kinda red."

My thought: *sigh*
