Windy...Nests

Last weekend, we decided that yesterday would be the PERFECT day for the beach.  Do you think the kids agreed?  It was so windy and so cold that we walked out to the beach, listened to the kids whine (all but Little Miss...look how happy she is :)), took a picture, and drove back home.

He hates the wind!!

The kids watched Sid the Science Kid this morning.  It's such a cute cartoon, and the kids always learn something from it.  Today the characters on the show were talking about making bird nests.  We decided to give it a try and had some success.

What a great idea! Yes, we like Sid here too, but I have yet to actually do the projects...I guess I should get my behind in gear!

I have never seen Sid. But I can share your experience with the wind. hahahaha Amy, it was good to see the pictures of ya'll while you were home. Ya'll look really happy. I loved the pic of the grandparents and gkids. Mr. Josiah looks to be quite the character. How can you have kids, same parents, raise them the same and they be so different?

Great job Scientist Isaac and Scientist Josiah! Your nest looks like a success!! Are you going to put it in a tree or bush for a homeless bird to find?

You little wimpy boys! You should have been in Borger today with the 50 mph winds! (But you sure make a mean nest! I hope the birds appreciate your condo!!)
Way to go, Liv---keep smiling in that wind.

Great picture in the wind! We love Sid also. Super Why is definitely Eli's favorite though. Tell the boys hi from him. He always wants to see their pictures. Hope you guys are well! Noelle

Mindy- Josiah is LOVING all of the sweet mail from his buddy. Tonight, as I was putting the boys' clothes up, I found his Valentine from Ryan in his underwear drawer. It was so sweet because his drawers are really his only hiding spot and he has never put anything special in them before. And Isaac was excited about the Valentine and told Jay about it. Josiah had a melt down because HE wanted to tell about it.

Sarah- It was just a good day. It'll be awhile before I feel creative again. :)

Tammy- We LOVED being with your daughter. And seriously, how can kids from the same family be so different??

Jean- We're waiting for it to dry. I hope it doesn't fall apart when we pick it up!!

Nancy- I felt so bad for the kids. They had their hopes up...of course, so did I!!

Mom- We are wimps, but a windy, cold beach is no fun!!

Noelle- Isaac was so sad that I turned the t.v. off before Super Why. He loves that show. We talked about Eli today...Isaac saw a picture of ice cream and talked about eating it with y'all. And I'm sorry, but The Kelley family and flooding go hand in hand in Isaac's mind.
It's good to hear from you!

I am impressed! You are such a great mom with lots and do lots of fun things with your kids! That inspires me! Love the pics from the beach! So, is it as windy there as it is here?

I agree with your mama. It's seriously a good thing y'all don't live around here anymore. I don't think your kids could have taken how horrible it's been this week! And thanks for the website...I am now completely addicted to Etsy!

I love Sid!! Hudson breaks it down on the music part where they all bust their moves!

Kelley- It's much windier (is that a word??) in the Texas panhandle! In fact, it was so funny this past summer when the tropical storm came through. It just felt like a normal, rainy, windy day in Texas. :)

Alexis- And the dust! That's what we couldn't get over when we went back...a huge difference!

Marcy- Jay watched it with the kids today and it was pure torture to him. haha
