Jay took the boys individually for piano lessons today. So that meant that I had one less child all morning. :) It's so funny to watch how the boys act when the other one is not around.
Nana came through for Olivia and sent a new stroller. The boys love having girl stuff in the house and made sure to try out this stylin' pram!! Don't worry ladies, I didn't let Josiah sit in it. But he did tell me that he wants a "clothes hanging" thing for his birthday. I couldn't figure out what he was talking about, so he took me to the laundry room and showed me the ironing board and iron. He says that he wants one his size so that he can iron with me on Sunday morning. Haha! Now you know that I only iron once a week, and on the most rushed morning of our week.
And in case you are beginning to worry about Josiah, don't. His baby carried a gun and light saber all day long. :)
So, Josiah time was very busy. We played cowboys, flew in a rocket ship (aka Buzz tent), cut paper (aka craft), and played with the stroller. Josiah doesn't really care if you play WITH him, he just wants you to be there as company. He completely entertains himself (which is great most of the time...unless he wanders off and you forget about him...sometimes he's just a cute mess)
Then there is Isaac. He really likes to play with his sister. So we played with her until she needed a nap. Isaac does not entertain himself. In fact, he asks me ALL DAY LONG what we are going to do next. He thinks that t.v., computer, video games, and loud music are the best sources of entertainment. I usually fight and fight with him over it. Today I gave in and took a picture of him looking pretty exhausted.
On another note, Jay said that Isaac is ready for his first piano book!! Isaac's catching on so quickly and it looks like we'll have some more pianists in the house. Yay!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, JAY for giving these boys piano lessons!!! I'm so proud of you. I know how hard it is to teach your own kids. And I'm so excited your kids are going to have that opportunity. Maybe you can also teach your children Spanish!! ;) And Amy can teach them photography and how to cook!
Congratulations of teaching piano lessons to your own children! I will pray that God has given them the same talent that He gave you(of course, some talent could be passed along via genes). Isaac already has Amy's beautiful voice. I'm sure that all 3 kids will have musical talent. I hope the carriage works out well for Miss O. Jay and Amy, you two are super parents!
Awwwwwwww look at those boys and WTG Ike for moving up to a book. I'm so proud of you.
Those are some mighty handsome boys! Isaac and Josiah, we would love to hear what you can play on the piano. Good job!
I love O's stroller and baby. Did Josiah retire the shopping cart?
Issac is just like Kenedee - loves TV! and Josiah looks great with a stroller(: It is so great that Jay is so involved with the kids! You iron once a week? I try really hard not to iron AT ALL! LOL
How cool that they are going to be piano players!! Cute little guys!
Mom- I've taught them how to take out the trash, hang up their clothes, unload the dryer, load the washer, put up dishes, dust, vacuum, and make their beds. Are you proud? haha I hope their future wives will be!!
Jean- I'm so glad that you helped discover that talent in Jay. What if you never had? I probably wouldn't even know him (since we met at a camp where he was playing the keyboard).
Kara- Thanks!
Tamra- If anything is retired in our home, Josiah usually has something to do with it. But actually, the shopping cart is now the storage place for all 100 food items to Olivia's kitchen.
Dawn- I have a very incredible husband (not bragging, just humble), and the kids have an incredible dad. And maybe I should clear up the misunderstanding...no, I don't IRON once a week, I just iron the outfit I'm wearing to church about 5 minutes before I have to head out the door. haha
Emily- Isaac thinks it is fine...but it's just to please us while he holds out for the drums!
