What do you do when your 17 month old wants to be held all day long? That's what has been going on around here. Little Miss has not let me put her down these last few weeks. And she won't go to anyone else. After Christmas, J went to a session of school, and then he was gone for a conference with our church. Needless to say, my back has been killing me (that girl is HEAVY...and can't walk!!) and the proof is not in my biceps.
But I figured it out! T.V. She has never really watched it before, but this day it worked. I turned on a movie, plopped her on the couch, and washed dishes. Of course, I had to take pictures of the 3 kids lined up on the couch, losing brain cells. It was cute.

Relief!

Middle Man couldn't stand to not sit by his sister. They are really forming a sweet bond.

I really like B&W. :)

I feel your pain! I sure hope Eli doesn't do that at 17 months, thats when the baby is due! And I really like the B&W also.
Cute. I figure the brain cells they lose might be restored during book reading time? Or maybe the snuggling might block the brain cell killer? Or maybe the fact that you are a little more stable b/c of the time they are occupied and actually get to do the dishes so the family is just better as a whole? I figure they will be ok.
So sweet! I'm sure I'll be there soon :)
Cute! I love how close all of your kids are. Too sweet.
Some days it's called - Whatever works!!!! Blakely never watches TV longer thatn two seconds, she is too busy! We drove to Denver and Blakely does not like the car. So we borrowed a portable tv and turned on baby einstein for her the majority of the time. She didn't scream and it was for the most part a great trip, and she learned some sign language!! I think she gained a few brain cells this time.
Hey - we definitely won't be judging you for letting the kids watch TV. Kenedee sneaks away to run upstairs and turn on Noggin. She knows the numbers to all the stations I let her watch that has the kiddie cartoons on. Now, Kae-Lynn on the other hand quickly changes the channel as I walk into the room because she is getting caught watching those teenie bopper shows she knows I don't care for. (: If I make it through the teenage years, I'll be considered a walking miracle! HA!
I choose all of thee above. I cut out some tv time and today has been really trying. I figure whatever gives you peace of mind and a house you can stand to live in God can restore the brain cells that have been compromised by Buzz Lightyear.
You go, Liv! Ike had several movies memorized by the time he was your age!!
If it makes you feel any better, I used T.V. to HOMESCHOOL yesterday! I had Aaron watching the Discovery channel for science. How lame is that?? LOL
cute pictures. Those boys love that little girl, eh?
you're an awesome Mom, whatever you do those kids are blessed:) HOpe you're staying warm! It's pretty cold here in FL; had to have a fire the last two nights. see you soon!

Dawn- Kae-Lynn watching teeny-bopper shows...that made me laugh out loud! haha
Rachel- You mean that Buzz Lightyear isn't educational???? :)
Mom- Just Nemo by that age....Buzz would come in a few months...because I was SO tired of "Ah-hoo-wha-hee-ha-hohoho"
Sandra- I can't imagine what my homeschooling will consist of by that age. I'm a bit nervous about that...you'll be getting a call in a few years!!
Marcy- If only you knew! They think she's the best thing...better than sliced bread.
Nancy- I'm glad we missed out on those cold days!
Kara- I still miss you...even though I got to see you!
