??House Hunting Over??

I hesitate to blog about this because who knows, right? We made an offer on this house and our realtor called yesterday to tell us that the bank accepted the offer. The house is a "short sale" which I think means it's on the verge of foreclosure? I'm not totally sure. All I know is that the owners AND the bank have agreed on the sale price. It's crazy because when we first moved here, this house would have been around $70,000 dollars more than what we offered for it. The market is nuts here. We are glad that we've waited and we'll still wait until next week for papers to be signed and then we will have it inspected. So it's still up in the air, but it seems like it will work out.
A little info: The house is in a wonderful neighborhood. The trees are huge and the community is great. Most important to our kids...the community pool.
It's 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom, living room, great room, lanai or Florida room (big covered patio), pretty backyard, and it's on a cul-de-sac. All of these things were exactly what I wanted. So fun!
By the way, the front of the house is stucco...most of the houses here seem to be made of it. I don't really care for it, but that wasn't on my list. :)

Florida is so much like california...stucco every where. I think it's because it's so cheap. I'm glad it's everything you wanted. Praise God!

How fun! I love all of the trees. Maybe that will make all of the rain worth it :) Keep us updated.

I love the big trees--and isn't the Florida grass funny? I can see that spongy grass that feels springy when you walk on it!! Can't wait to see the inside!

Mom- Me, too!!!! By the way, we close on it the day before we come to Texas. Then we move in 2 weeks after we get home! AAHHH!!!!

Katy- I have a feeling that "busy" is just beginning.

Rachel- Ugh! It looks so dirty. At least it's not shells like a lot of the homes are made of here.

Tamra- Yes, trees!! I can't get enough of them.

Marcy- The grass is funny. We have St. Augustine grass here. It's kind of painful to walk on and the blades are wide and tall.

Kayla- I'm excited. I'm also excited for you guys!!!

Jana- Yes!! I feel like I earned $70,000...but I didn't. :)

Bret and Mindy- I secretly hope that one day I'll be by all you Dalhart girls again. We had a pretty neat thing there. :)

Sarah- It sure is nice to find a good deal. I was getting the feeling that it wasn't going to happen. Glad it did!

Rachel- hahahahahahaha

Kara- Thanks! It's becoming real!
