Neigh, Moo, Caw, and Cockadoodledoo

Our church is having a missions conference this week with lots of missionary guests and lots of fun. A family from Dallas came to visit some missionaries from England. The wife and kids of the family from Dallas were up for some great entertainment, and somehow we lucked out and got included. :) So today we went to visit a farm. But this isn't just any farm, it is a farm in the middle of the Country Club...long story.

The kids were amazed that the goats could climb up on things.

He refused to look me in the eye.

The peacock didn't want to look me in the eye either.

We caught him in the middle of his crow.

I have never seen a white peacock before. And he sure was gorgeous! I wish that Olivia would have let me put her down, because I would have loved to really get a closer shot of him.

Josiah has gone from never wanting to look at the camera, to begging me to take his picture. Isaac is in the background sharing with Josiah...the family from Dallas also had a 4 year old Josiah!!

Ha! I just zoomed in on this picture and noticed Josiah's Croc flying through the air.

The owner of the peacocks let the kids feed them and pet them. He said that he has raised them from day one and that they are very tame. They'll lay in his arms, put their heads on his shoulder, and go to sleep!
Isaac was a little afraid of the pigs. They were begging for more food. The little pig was so cute!

Olivia was also afraid of the pigs. They were bigger than her and approached her for a carrot. :)

The main attraction? The swings and the kitty cat. Ha! No, they really liked it all and couldn't get words out fast enough to tell Jay all about it.

Are you kidding me? They moved the swing from One Flag Over Texas (in Borger) to FLORIDA???? LOL! I've never seen a white peacock either---didn't know there was such a thing! (Loved Siah's flying croc!)

A white peacock---wow---I've never seen one. It looks beautiful! Are those crocs the same ones Isaac used to wear (Josiah's crocs now)? Isaac and Olivia, Nana is afraid of pigs too.

If the other Josiah is anything like your Josiah, it was a hoot-n-nanny of a good time. We saw a white peacock at the OKC Zoo. It was eating a chicken leg. No, not off of a live chicken, someone shared it's lunch. The kids thought it was totally awesome. The zoo keepers said it was so tame they let it wander the zoo. Looks like you had a great day.

Amy, your blog is often very educational....glad this animal was alive :). You have turned into such a great photographer!

As We Are said...

What a fun day. I love hearing about all that you get to do there is Florida. I'm with Olivia. I wouldn't want the pig close either!

The photos are amazing. Loved the flying croc. Also, if I ever run into a pig that is bigger than me I promise I will be scared, too.

Mom- I forgot all about that place!

Jean- No, but he still sometimes pulls out those Crocs...holes and all (Josiah does). They lasted a long time and were a great purchase!! :)

Rachel- I didn't really get to know that Josiah, but he was very friendly. :) These peacocks were eating cat food. BLUGH!

Katy- Haha...alive. That made me laugh!

Tamra- I didn't think about swine flu until a few days later. I'm glad, because I probably would have freaked!!!

Sam- So would I! ha

Sarah- It was. You and I seem to be the field trip moms. :)
