Olivia is doing great. She had a good ole time playing with all of the doctor stuff and meeting another little girl who was also having tubes put in her ears. All was well until the scary looking anesthesiologist picked her up to take her to the back. :( But the good thing is that not one tear left Mommy's eyes. hahaha
Olivia's doctor did end up having to remove her adenoids because they were so big that they were blocking her passageway and not allowing her to breathe properly. And he said that the fluid in her ears was more like jello than liquid. Poor baby.
When she woke up (and that happened immediately), she was not a happy camper. She was in a lot of pain, but Jay and I also think that she was just really hungry. The nurse went to get her a popsicle, but she didn't come back with enough. (If you know our kids, then you know that food is very, very important!!) So, she got a refill and that seemed to calm her down.
When we got home, she scarfed down a banana and went right to sleep. Sweet girl. I hope this makes things so much better for her.
Thank you all for your prayers. You just don't know how much your encouragement meant/means to us.
enjoying some applesauce after her nap
She loves to say "cheese!" You can see her bandage still on her left ankle, and some other thingamajigs stuck to her chest. The nurses didn't take them off at the surgery center. They left that for me to do. Now I know why! It hurt!

Glad you are home!!!
I'm so glad you posted us an update! I have been thinking of you guys all morning and just talking to God every time I thought of you all! I wish her quick healing and a speedy recovery. **Hugs**
Yay!! Tara's boys had tubes and adenoids out, and it did seem to make a big difference!! I hope she will recover well. I know she will. Sigh is right--the hard part is over now!
AAAHHHHHH. It's so stressful not being right there with you. But I'm so glad our little Livie is doing so well. I'm praying this is just a blip on the road for her and that she'll be talking in sentences next week! ha! Love you!!
Sounds so similar to our situation. All we had was the ears though. I am so happy and relieved it went smoothly. You'll be amazed how much better she is now. YeAh! I am so glad for you! Hugs Olivia! Get Well Quick! Feel Better! You have big brother's to keep up after. :)
So glad everything went smoothly. It sounds like her situation was advanced enough that she was a prime candidat for the surgery! And what a relief to know it is all cleared now. Prayers for a peaceful day and a quick recovery - good job, Mom and Dad!
After my oldest had tubes in and adnoids out, his speech really changed and he didn't seem to be as loud. Of course, now that he's 20....wishing I could put a muzzle on him.
So glad Olivia is doing so well. You and Jay rest, too. I know it's stressful.
I've been praying all day for you and Olivia! How is she feeling this afternoon?
I am so glad it all went well. I bet she will be feeling much better in no time.

Wow - the blog is private now. I feel really privileged to be able to be on here - like the Friar's Club episode of Seinfeld.

Amy,
Thanks for inviting me to read even though I didn't write and ask you to - I'm just catching up with blogs now and didn't know you were making the change :) Also, I'm glad to hear that Olivia's surgery is behind you now. Tubes have made such a huge difference for Claire that I'm a fan. She hasn't had one infection since they were put in over a year ago!
{HUGS} So glad it's over with and that she did well. David has been a new kid since having tubes put in because he had his adnoids (and tonsils) removed, he hasn't had one ear infection since. I hope this is the last of her problems.
Olivia! I love your pictures eating applesauce! You were so big having that surgery!! I'm so proud of you. I'm so glad my sweet girl is feeling better. I love you a bushel and a peck!
Mindy- Thanks for continually praying for her. You are a great friend!
Marcy- Yes, the hard part is over. And it seems that she is already so much better because of the surgery.
Mom- I'm sure it was hard to be far away. But all is well!
Donna- She's telling those big brothers what to do. :)
Dawn- Thanks!
Amy- She's louder! I think she likes to hear herself. haha
Sandra- Thanks for praying! She is 100% great!
Brea- Thank you!
Jay- I forget what the Friar's club episode is about. Hmmm...
Cari- I made you follow me! :)
Kara- Let's hope she does the same!!! I remember how difficult a time David had after his surgery. Poor guy.
Mom- She saw your picture today and said, "EEEE!"
