A Bub A Bubblin'

This was one of our science experiments for the week. I can't remember what we were supposed to learn from it, (something about the air going through the wire), but it sure was fun.

All of my kids are finally at the age that they can blow their own bubbles. No more lightheadedness for me. :)

caught one

double bubble

She actually held it away from her lips a lot. But there were several times she practically ate it...and never flinched from the taste.

He was proud of our homemade wands.

This started happening...

So she got it all to herself.
Later on, Olivia started crying and I thought she had scraped her hand on the cup of bubbles. I came over and kissed her hand and then she pointed at it and kept crying. This gives me shivers to even write what had happened. Well, our really cool, homemade wands weren't all that cool. Part of the wire jabbed into the top of her finger and I had to pull it out. Poor baby. It was pretty rough on both of us. But the good news is, she got a monkey band aid and was all smiles.

How much does Isaac weigh? I hope Josiah's shoulders and back are ok.
Poor Liv. I know that poky wire had to hurt. Science can be fun but sometimes dangerous.

I just have to know if that yellow tint over all the pictures is the result of Photoshop, or if it naturally happened?? Either way, it's really cool.
And Lala is very sorry that Livie hurt her wittle thinger.

Isaac weighs 50.3 pounds. He weighs himself every day. haha He wasn't really sitting on his shoulders...just standing over him, not letting him get up. I think they traded places a few times.

Linds-I used photoshop. The pictures already had an orange tint to them because I wasn't using my flash. So, I just kind of went with it. :) Thanks!

So fun! Loved seeing your new pictures! Kailee is having to start home science projects and this English Mama has NO idea! I may have to email you for ideas :) By the way, when I got out of my van yesterday I just had this feeling of "weird home schooling mom look" like you talk about! Ha!!! I could have easily been mistaken as one of the weird ones for sure :) I love Olivia's home school outfit! That is great!

Love this experiment! My guys are crazy about bubbles! They make such a HUGE mess...both of them! I'm catching up on your blog also, like Marcy :-)

Sorry your hand was hurt, Liv...and Mom. Doesn't something like that just make a mom's heart break?! Your kids are so smart and absolutely adorable. I love Liv's outfit - you know, the pink sweater top that is two sizes too small and the purple animal tights - cute!Ha!

Tamra- The only ideas I come up with are the ideas printed before me in my curriculum. ha But I can sure pass those on. I think we all have those days of looking the part of home school mom. I think I should just call it "Mom of Toddler". Or even just "I'm a mom."

Emily- I couldn't believe that my kids really didn't make a mess. Maybe it's because it was in such a wide-mouthed cup.

Dawn- I hate it when my kids get hurt. It's such a terrible feeling on the parents' part. And I'm thinking that the pink top and animal pants may have come from your incredible stash!! She just mixed them wrong and put them on a bit too late. ha
