I had to run an errand this evening (it was dark outside) after the kids were in bed. I went out to my van, through the garage. As I was waiting for the garage door to go up, I stuck my purse on the passengers side of the van and started heading around and out the garage. I wasn't really looking and all of a sudden, I heard a male voice say, "Hellooo?!" I was so scared that I jumped and ran back into the house and locked the door. A second later, the doorbell rang. I called for Jay to answer the door. It was a young guy selling magazines...you know, the teenagers that always scare you whether they jump out at you through the garage or not?? Here's the question...WHO ARE THEY? WHO DO THEY WORK FOR? WHY ARE THEY ALWAYS SO SCARY?? Does anyone have the answers? They always came by in Dalhart and I guess that I just thought they were all in the Texas panhandle. But they are in Florida, too!!!!! I'm just curious and wondering if anyone has ever thought to ask them a little about who they work for.

I think they are hired by the church of latter day saints...it's their training! They creeped me out here many a time too!! Along with some carpet cleaning guy.
Humm----they have never come to our house----maybe they are just stalking you cute young gals!
YIKES!!! I had a man come to my house selling steaks last week.... he wasn;t wearing a company shirt, didn't have a name tag, and was with a white van that had two other men in it. He asked "Can my manager come in an sell you some steaks, you could get one for free." Then he handed me a self printed business card...... NO THANKS!! Then he kept on and I forcefully said "TAKE NO!"
I was weirded out for awhile, especially when Bryan is gone.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that these people weird out! After Ryan was born two guys wanted to come and give me a free estimate to clean the carpet in our house (if so they'd clean one room for free! ha!)... I had to shut the door in there faces. I was totally scared being home alone with a new baby. Later come to find out it was a scam for them to check out your house and see if they wanted to rob you later! (That's what Bret said!)
How scary!!! Glad Jay was home! People can freak me out! I never answer the door when Petes not home!
There are some pretty scary people that come to the door!!! I'm not sure who the teens with the hags are though...I've always wondered too. And in the past they've always come at night after dark...
