Spring Park

We went out to a beautiful park tonight as a family. The park is about 10 minutes from our home and we wondered why we hadn't been there before. The playground was fun for the boys. They made instant friends (isn't it funny how kids can be friends with someone within seconds??) and played very hard until dark. Olivia and I went on a walk by the river (the park is right on the river) and strolled out onto a public pier. It was GORGEOUS!!! The temperature was perfect and everything just seemed so peaceful. We went back and got the guys and made them go out on the pier with us. We saw people casting their nets trying to catch shrimp...ha ha! It was a new world to us (you Floridians can have a good laugh at us right now!!). Anyway, it was just a nice evening and I'll post pictures when we go the next time.

Sounds peaceful. You'll have to take me there when I come.

I'm glad you didn't mention all the spiders on the pier.

Sounds nice. Tonight smells like cow poop here! You are really missing out!
I'm putting together a "sales" postcard with your Texas homestead and our house...there's like 6 houses on it - I'll make ours the biggest on the card! Ha!

Sounds wonderful!!! I do remember all the weird things Floridians did when I first moved there. Shrimping and other things were among the intriguing!!!
