Homecoming Parade

Tonight, I took the kids to the homecoming parade. They didn't really know what to expect but had so much fun. At one point, Isaac said, "Mommy, why do those people keep giving us candy?"

Here is Josiah beating his tummy to the drum beat.

Waiting...

I can't remember a time when Isaac didn't cover his ears around loud band. :)

Olivia was so excited when the horses walked by (Yes, Dalhart, there were 2 horses.) and Isaac started jumping up and down telling Josiah to look at the horses. I think that they felt like they were back home, ha.

That looks like so much fun. I'm so glad to know there are horses in your part of the world. Olivia looks so sweet. I can't wait to pinch her cheeks.

Parades are so much fun! It looks like everyone was enjoying it. Maybe you will just have to come back for our parade here. :)

So fun! Your kids are SO SWEET!
My boys favorite thing to do at a parade: park close to the beginning of the parade then when it's passed by, drive further down and watch it AGAIN! ROFL!

As I scrolled down, I was waiting to see a pic of Ike covering his ears! ha! I love that he didn't know why they were throwing him candy. Does Josiah have his drum set out? He needs to be practicing! Think Olivia may be a barrel racer some day? ha!

I LOVE parades! That's funny Jay wiped your boys hands so much. We were the opposite--not wanting Hudson to be scared of getting dirty, but he is any way.

Fun! Unfortunately, my kids think we go to parades for the candy! At this age, I really haven't told them any different (:

Amy, our kids are too much alike. Have you seen the loads of pictures we have of Elijah holding his ears...fireworks, fire trucks, when a public toilet flushes...etc. :)

that is wierd about the ear thing...Wes has always been like that... from the time he could cover his ears, he has. It is al ost like taht is part of him being so cautious about everything....
glad you had horses, but I doubt you had even near the candy they throw here.... we save ours for trick or treaters.... don't tell anyone :)
